Paramount’s Community Involvement

Dear Paramount Member:

Photo of a boy using a computer and other students and a tutor are looking onParamount is a community-based managed health care organization. We work with employers, members, physicians and community and government agencies to continually improve the health of our members. As part of this collaboration, Paramount and its employees have contributed not only money, but also thousands of volunteer hours to many worthwhile causes. Together, we help make the communities we serve better places in which to live and work. To date, company and employee contributions have benefited more than 200 organizations and agencies.

Many of these organizations receive much more than money from us. They get volunteers: walkers and runners, tutors, envelope-stuffers, coaches and servers. Our volunteerism and fund-raising efforts have made a real difference in improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods and communities. Whatever the cause -- the Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Salvation Army, Junior Achievement or United Way, to name a few -- Paramount consistently promotes company-wide participation. Every year, Paramount employees raise more than $3,000 with their “Christmas in July Bake Sale” to use towards “adopted” families during the holiday season. Paramount also awards two college scholarships to graduating seniors to promote education and excellence among today’s youth.

Commitment to and support of community activities is a key corporate value at Paramount and the ProMedica Health System. Overall, our focus is simple: to help improve the communities we serve. Our corporate mission -- access, accountability, compassion, excellence and prevention -- is based on the principles of giving and community.

All of us at Paramount hope you and your family also get involved in your community. The personal rewards and impact on the community are worth more than the time spent or dollars collected. It is a great opportunity for everyone to get involved and extend a hand to those in need and, in return, feel pride and personal satisfaction.

Sincerely,
