Start the Week Right
every Monday, you did something
good for your health. You
could walk a mile, work out at
the gym, or eat an extra couple
of servings of fruits and vegetables.
By the end of the year,
you’d have logged an impressive
number of healthy activities.
Some people have trouble
sticking with healthy behaviors
all week long. Think of each
Monday as a great day to renew
your commitment because it’s
the start of the week. Here are
some ideas to get you going:
- Eat whole grains for breakfast, such as oatmeal, bran flakes, or whole wheat toast.
- Take 10-minute breaks to stretch, walk, or exercise with dumbbells.
- Have fish for dinner. The American Heart Association recommends having two servings a week.
No matter what you do, make
Monday your day to stick with a
“New Week” resolution. Then
add your healthy habits to every
day of the week.
