Help with Quitting Smoking
Is a Call Away

Photo of a nicotine-replacement patchWe're making quitting smoking even easier for our members in Ohio and Michigan. Paramount members in Ohio and Michigan can receive up to eight weeks of free nicotine-replacement therapy (NRT) when they enroll in quit-line cessation counseling.

Pick up the phone to get started. Taking advantage of this program is as simple as making a phone call. Members in Michigan can call the Paramount Tobacco Quit Line at 1-800-884-7118. Tell the Quit Line staff that you're insured by Paramount Care of Michigan (POO#) or employed by ProMedica Health System in Michigan (POOe) and give them your Paramount member ID number. The Quit Line staff will verify your eligibility with Paramount. Members in Ohio can call 1-800-QUIT-NOW. Have your Paramount ID number ready.

You'll receive a free Quit Kit. A quitting specialist will talk with you and send you educational materials in English or Spanish. You'll receive a Quit Kit that includes brochures and pamphlets about tobacco use and tips on quitting. Materials are available for pregnant women, teens, American Indians, and chew/spit tobacco users.

Get free nicotine-replacement patches. You'll be eligible to receive four weeks of free nicotine-replacement patches if you enroll in Tobacco Quit Line cessation counseling. If you need additional NRT after four weeks and are still receiving cessation counseling, you can renew the order once, for a maximum of eight weeks of free patches.

You Don't Have to Quit Smoking Alone
