Pregnant? How to Feel Your Best
You’ll notice your body changing
when you become pregnant. In
addition to gaining weight, your
breasts get larger, and you may
feel sick. These tips can help you
feel your best as your baby grows
inside you:
- Drink plenty of water.
- Avoid bending or lifting a lot.
- Wear a bra with good support.
- Try not to gain more than
the
amount of weight your doctor
suggests. Extra weight can
place stress on your back.
- Eat slowly, and eat small,
frequent meals. Limit caffeine
and don’t drink alcohol.
- Ask your doctor to suggest
exercises that can help relieve
pain and discomfort.
- Show up for all your prenatal
appointments with your doctor
Stay off your feet as much as
possible. Try not to sit or stand for a
long time. This will help keep your
feet and legs from swelling. Put your
legs up when you sit. If you have
varicose veins, wear support hose.
